1. Francis BARTHOLOMEW was born around the date of 1785, and married Sarah MILNER 24th Feb 1824 Elmton Creswell Derbyshire (IGI) He died 20 April 1845 from a stone in the bladder and was buried in Elmton Churchyard on the 23 April 1845 Children were; Anne 1825 2i. William 1827 Mary 1830 2i. William BARTHOLOMEW was born around 1827 at Creswell Derbyshire and married Mary GLOSSOP Children were; i Sarah 17th November 1850 Whitwell 3ii Frank b. 24 Sept 1852 Whitwell ch 31st October 1852 Whitwell iii Thomas 7th September 1856 Elmton iv William 4th April 1858 Elmton v Robert 4th March 1860 Elmton vi Edward 13th October 1861 Elmton vii ??John Thomas 1871/72 Creswell William is stated to be a Farmer at Creswell, Derbyshire on 7th September 1856 an Innkeeper at the Rose & Crown. These details were taken from the entries in the Elmton Parish Registers (1858-1861). 3ii. Frank BARTHOLOMEW was born 24th Sept 1852 Whitwell Derbys. He married Annie LADLEY on 26th May 1879 at St Botolph's Church (known as Boston Stump) in Lincolnshire. He was 25years old and gave his fathers name as William BARTHOLOMEW. Annie LADLEY was aged 18. Neither had married before. Annie’s father was John LADLEY (deceased) labourer. Annie being born in the Anlaby Road Workhouse, Myton, Kingston -upon –Hull on 11th December 1860; her mother was Rebecca (nee SMITH). Children to Francis (Frank) and Annie were; i Robert 1880 ii Gaythorn 1881 iii Bruce 1884 iv Joseph Carroll (Cyril) 1887 v Edgar 1890 c 4vi. Novada 29th December 1891 born Mansfield Woodhouse vii I John Francis 18th February 1894 born 24 Clumber Place Worksop died April 1968 viii Blanche 1896/97 viiii Rufus 1898/1899 4vi. Novada born 29th December 1891 (my grandmother) She was born at 29 Portland Street Registration district Mansfield Sub district Warsop County of Nottingham. Her father was Frank BARTHOLOMEW and mother Annie (maiden name LADLEY). Nevada’s father stated as being a coal miner and she was one of many children. She married William Thomas KIRKHAM at St Johns Church on April 29th 1911. He was a painter and decorator aged 21yrs and she was 19yrs. William Thomas was living at 2 Garden row Worksop and she was living at 18 Portland Street Worksop. Her father is stated as being a miner. Witnesses were Carol (male) BARTHOLOMEW her brother and his wife Fanny BARTHOLOMEW. William Thomas KIRKHAM died at the early age of only 28yrs on 20th July 1918 and was buried on 23rd July.
