In re: your post on George W BARTHOLOMEW b 1826/OH, I am wondering if he could be a brother or other kin to my William Winnen BARTHOLOMEW b ca 1823/unknown co OH. I have not been able to find ANY BARTHOLOMEW connection for his ancestry to date! Thinking that his middle name, WINNEN, might be a surname of his mother’s, I looked for WINNENS also in the places I found William, to no avail.

This is what I know. William m Emily Jane BROWN in 1847/Johnson Co IN. I can’t find the couple in Johnson Co or in any other county in IN for 1850. They are in Benton Co IA in 1860 with the oldest son named George W BARTHOLOMEW b 1854/IN (I think this must be a first name of William’s fa or ? as Emily’s father was named Henry). They are in Polk Co IA in 1870 and then move on to WY.

I checked out the BARTHOLOMEWS in the IA areas that WW and Emily were in and the ones that were there were all from NY and born there as well—thus are probably NOT related to my WW BARTHOLOMEW???

Please let me know if you have this name in your files. I am at a loss.
