Have you yet researched the Clan Mcfarlane of Scotland? I just found a possible link into this clan,in relation to the surname Bartholomew. It is listed that there were two or three seperate branches ( not related) of Bartholomew's that came to America, from England, Holland, and Germany. Accounts of my line are said to have been from Holland & before France. I found that in very early times, 700-1300 AD , france offered citzenship to peoples of Scotland.
