Dear Terri

well, what a coincidence. I only received the information about Frederick Bartholomew this morning and thought it may be useful to someone, and there he was married to one of my Whillock's!

Martha Helen Whillock was baptised 27 August 1843 in Chertsey. Her parents were William Whillock and Martha nee Lice who were married 4 October 1842 in Chertsey. Martha (the mother)died in June 1845 when Martha Helen was just two years old and a year later, in June 1846, her father married Susannah Wise. So Susannah was Martha Helen's stepmother.

I have the Whillock family tree going back to 1721 in Stanway in Gloucestershire. William was born in Great Comberton, Worcs., he then moved with his family to Tewkesbury and then Chertsey with his brother Edmund.

I can't quite work out the relationship between myself and Martha Helen, I need to put it down on paper to work it out properly but it is something like my 8 x great grandfather being her 5 x grandfather.

It would be great if we could swap information, I have pages and pages on the Whillock's (sometimes Whillocke, Willock, Willoch and even Worlock!).

Whereabouts are you, are you in the UK? Looking forward to hearing from you again.

Regards

Jackie
