Henry...according to The Cruzan Story written by Mary Ann Cruzan, Charles Chester Cruzan of Windsor, Mo received a letter from Roy Bartholomew of Iowa City, Iowa stating that ELizabeth and Israel Cruzan were married in 1818. Accordingly, Roy gave "quite a bit of information on his family", but Charles picked out only what was relevant to the Cruzan side. It goes on to say that they were in the 1820 Census, Brown County, Ohio, Byrd Township, Aberdeen. He also stated that "nearby was the household of David Bartholomew". "Also, Elizabeth's brothers, John and Jacob, were in Hamilton County by 1840 and lived in the same township, according to Mr.Bartholomew."
Mary Ann Cruzan of Webb City, Missouri is in possession of this letter.
