I was recently doing some research in the UK and found the 1754 baptism record for the same James Barter who was the bastard son of Mary Barter.

I thought he was perhaps my forefather who emigrated to Boston about 1775 but if your info about his marriage is correct, it can't be the same person since my James presumably married after emigrating and had four children.

Might I ask where you got the marriage and other information about him?
