Barter, Quebec & Vermont (1700-present)

I have started a family tree for the Barter's in the Gaspe Penninsula of Quebec and have some evidence they originated from Vermont and England before that. I know of a George Barter who immigrated from England to the U.S. (in the late 1700's) and his son (or grandson?) Morrell that ended up in Canada in the 1800's. I would appreciate any information, or clarifications.

Bob
