Thanks very much for your mail. I had my father's oral info. that Woll(e)in was where our BARTLETT name came from but I was told by several people that there was no such place.
I also had information that the BARTLETT name was an anglised version of BARTELT. Many names of the early people from this family to Australia were entered in various places as either eg. Carl Gotfried or Charles Godfrey, so I spent some time looking through that name with no success.
I will spend some time looking through the link you gave me.
