Attempting to locate Finnen (am Rhein?) Germany

Carl Ferdinand Bartels was, according to his funeral mass card, born in Finnen in 1848. I have been unable to locate this village/town. If you can tell me where it is --or if this is amisspelling of another name, I will appreciate it. I have fairly good information from him until now which I will share. He and several brothers lived in Milwaukee WI prior from about 1870-about 1820 with descendants in that area.
