Very interesting, Robert! I wonder if there's a relation! I wonder if the Henry b. 1870 is the one I'm looking for! In 1912, Henry H. was chief engineer in a brewery at Toluca, Mexico. I haven't found him any later than this.

His son-in-law Charles Hartmann also worked in breweries (Belleville and East St. Louis, IL and Scioto Co, OH). His daughter, Rose was born in Philadelphia in 1889 according to her obit. Death cert just says PA. Mother's name unknown per death cert, but she's buried in Indianapolis per Rose's obit.

Do you know which ship Jacob came on? Do you know what church they used in Pittsburg, have you looked for church records on the children?

Out of curiosity, did anyone work in a brewery?
