My grgrandfather Charles Calvin Bartels b. 1851 came to York Co PA with his sister Augusta and brothers Henry and Frederick shortly before the Civil War. Augusta married Henry Kleffman. Henry eventually settled in Steelton PA and Frederick was a cooper in a brewery in Reading. Charles was a Lutheran and Church of God Minister and lived various places in Central PA. Census records also show a William Bartels from Brunswick Germany living in Lancaster Co PA. (Is he related??) Anyone know anything about this bunch?
