Looking for ancestors of Adolf (Adolph) BARTEL (b 17 Aug 1851 in Frankendorf, New Reupien; d 22 May 1929 in TX) m Emma HERBST. He had the following siblings: Ernest, Fritz, August, Wilhelmina (m 1st WITTBOLD, 2nd LAGER, 3rd WITTBOLD), and Emilie (m WEINSTRAUCH). Adolf and his sister Wilhelmina landed in Galveston on the Bark Neptune in 1869 and joined their uncle, Carl MAERTZ and aunt Caroline HAACK. Carl's first wife was Dorothea JACOB.
