......I AM A DESCENDENT IN THE BARTEE/WHITE geneology. My grandfather was Vollie Lewis White, only son of Lafayette(?) white. Vollie White married Ella Clay Wright, they had nine children, Mary Virginia White (1918) was their first child and my mother. Although somewhere there is list that "Nancy A. White-Privette" was their only child, this is incorrect. My grandfather Vollie Sr, and Ella Clay children in birth sequence: Mary Virginia (1918) Charles Lee, June Annette, Frank, Vollie Jr. Jessie, Louise, Nancy, Gayle Lynn(boy). My grandmother died (by her own hand) when Gayle was 6 weeks of age. Vollie Sr. died in 1959 resided at family address 414 Goodson st. Bristol, Virginia.
