I too have ask same concerning African-American in the lineage. It wasn't until my cancer diagnosis that I found I also had sickel cell anemia. This is imperative info to be realistic when reviewing "family medical history". It seems to be much more comfortable to "ignore the elephant sitting on our tree"........shame on us.
