My grandmother's sister, Lula Anthony, b.1869, married a John (I think!) Bartee. Lula had lived in Dadeville, AL area. They had a girl named Jewel Bartee, b. c 1910/AL. I think that he was son of Jonathan M. & Martha Ann Thornton. I understand that John & Lula got divorced, and that Lula and Jewel lived in Opelika, AL at one time. Jewel married a Clyde Brown and moved to Phenix City, AL. Does any one know of this family.
