Have any of you Bartee researchers run across the name McBartee?
Our Bartee trail ran so cold that this could be a possible explanation. We found a McBartee marriage in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, and are wondering if perhaps the name was shortened to Bartee.
Does anyone know?
