Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

My father is Wilfred Silas Bastow -- his father was John Allyn Bastow who dropped the "r" from his father who was James Barstow. All are from MI -- the "thumb" area -- my father lost contact with any family but knows of some Barstows in Bay City are -- are you related ? There is a book in Detroit Public Library Historical Section compiled by my cousin of I believe Guild & Barstow/Bastow families that traces back to 1500's in England. Would love to connect & discuss family info. e-mail at JTripp0752@AOL.com
