A loose paper, no date shown, between pages 73 and 74 in Greene County GA Deed Book B, 1793-1802, as reported in SOME GA COUNTY RECORDS, Vol 4 (Southern Historical Press, 1991), says:George W. Foster, Nathan Westfield(?) and Ambrose Hutchinson to divide negroes of estate of George Barsh late of SC, dec'd., between William S. Talley in right of his wife Eugenia I. Talley formerly Eugenia I. Barsh orphan of said George, pursuant to laws of SC, with William Talley getting one-third and Ann C. Barsh two-thirds.
Who was this Eugenia I. Talley, orphan of said George Barsh. Did she marry a Sager before she married Wm. S. Talley? Is this George Barsh the same as the George Barsh of the Orangeburg area SC?.What relation was Ann C. Barsh to said Eugenia I. and said George? All clues much appreciated.(Note:The subject loose paper easily could have been of a date not between 1793-1802.)
