Alexander Barry was the oldest in the family. His father, also Alexander Barry, died in 1864, one year after they moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from Coleraine, Ireland. His mother, Nancy Blair, died in 1870. He had 5 siblings, Thomas, Robert (b. 1847), Rachel, Margaret, and James (not in order of birth). Alexander married Emma Thompson (1841-1927) in Walnut Bend, PA and moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado to be one of the founding members there. They had 8 children, Rachel Ann, Margaret, May, Robert, Clara, Alice, James, and Ruth Helen. He died in Hot Springs, Arkansas (he'd gone there for his health) and is buried in Ft. Collins.
I am decended from his brother, Robert, and would love to learn more about this side of the family. Especially since I too attended Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, and never knew that they were there until now, 9 years later!
