Hi, am very new to this. I am looking for Betty Agnes Barry from South Colton, NY b.1902 who married Frank Bushnell (who I believe was from Watertown, NY).They were married in 1931 possible in Nov. Betty would of been 31. They lived in Rochester NY and worked at General Hospital in the housekeeping dept. They moved to Ogdensburg and she worked at a defense plant. He was then a salesman. I can only make out that they had 3 children. Shirley, Buddy and K.N.
In Betty’s letters she talked about her brother Pat, sister Lizzie who was married to Patrick Fitzpatrick (from the Bronx). Her mother (she never say’s her name) had possibly boughten a hotel in or around 1929-30 in South Colton and from the stationary it seems to have been called the Barry Hotel. The address at the time was 68 Main St.,South Colton, NY. She also talks about going to an Uncle Pat’s farm in South Colton.
Frank had a brother that I know of that Betty wrote about in a letter. His name was (Lt.) Wilfred Bushnell and was killed in 1933 on the USS Akron Airship. Betty died in 1982 and is buried at Notre Dame Cemetery. I don't know what happened to Frank. I am looking for possibly the children or brothers & sisters of both Betty or Frank. She was our grandmother.
