I am looking for information regarding the ancestors of David Joseph Barry of Hudson NY. He was born 10 Jun 1875 in Hudson. His mother is listed in the Hudson Censuses variously as Rose (Rosa), Mary and Lucy. David's mother and father were both born in Ireland around 1855. David's father died sometime between 1877 and 1880. Family lore has it that David's father was also David Joseph, but in a Hudson City Directory in the 1890's David's mother is listed as Mrs. Thomas Barry. With three given names listed, I don't know what to believe of Rose / Mary / Lucy. David had a sister named Susan who was born in 1877.
Also, according to family lore, there were several Barry brothers who fought on either side in the Civil War and some one of these was a steeple jack that fell to his death.
Any help would be appreciated.
