Hello...like everyone else, it is said that my family is related to Commodore John Barry. I have traced my tree to a Captain John Barry who married Anna L. Smith on December 12, 1813. Captain John Barry died in 1824 or 1825 of yellow fever in Jamestown, VA. Written on the old papers I have it says "Capt. John Barry is related to Commodore Barry" but I don't see how that can be accurate after all my research. If anyone has any information on Captian John Barry, I would apprecaite it. The only thing I can think of is that he is a grandson of one of Commodore Barry's brothers? Thanks.
