I am trying to determine the English ancestry of John Barrows of Plymouth, MA. He died in 1692 and had been married first to Anne (Thompson?) and second to Deborah (Doten/Doty?).
On the Tolland County, CT, GebWeb site, there is a page on "Barrows Surname" which shows John to be the son of Ralf Borrowe and Audrey Deye of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England. This page shows Johns date of birth to be 16 Sep 1609. It goes on to show further ancestral generations. Unfortunately, the page shows no sources for its data.
In looking at Parish Register Transcripts for the Church of England in Yarmouth, I found baptism records for other children of Ralphe and Audrie Burrow, but there is nothing for a John in 1609.
Does anyone else have any further information (with reliable sources) for John Barrows's ancestry?
