I am a descendant of the Barron lineage via my ggrandmother.Maybe somebody out there can make a connection from this:
a. Candido Almazan & Dorotea Barron
children:Pedro Almazan
?Antonio Almazan?
Camilo Almazan (abt 1892?)
b. Camilo Almazan, wife/Cruz Contreras(1902)
children: Florinda Almazan Estevis (1920)
Maria Almazan Navarro (1921)
Angelita Almazan Salinas (1922)
Juan Almazan (1923)
Carlota Almazan Yeager (1924)
Ramon Almazan (1925)
Juanita Almazan Rodriguez (1931)
Aurora Almazan (1935)
All are deceased except for Ramon Almazan and my mother, Juanita Almazan Rodriguez. It is said that my ggrandparents, Candido & Dorotea, hailed from General Tehran, Nuevo Leon). There are also two of their grandchildren whom my mother has met as a result of her inquisitiveness upon meeting anyone with the last name of Almazan, Jose Nieves Almazan (who lives either here in Corpus Christi, TX or somewhere in the Valley near Donna/Pharr/San Juan/Alamo, TX, and Eleazar Almazan (wife Frances), who lives in San Jose, CA).
My grandfather, Camilo Almazan, is said to have spent some time in the state prison in Huntsville, TX.And after his release, he and my grandmother, Cruz Contreras, were divorced, and he wed again to ?Juana? Some of their children's names might be, Aurorita Almazan, Manuel Almazan and Roberto Almazan. They had an adopted daughter, Estela Almazan.
I would like to know if there are any other "Barron" connections out there. We don't know anything about my ggrandmother's "Barron" family.
