Senator William Barrington 1937 Dublin and Limerick

I am the great-grandson of William Barrington, ob. 1937, through his daughter Erminie Anna, my paternal grandmother. From my late father who was brought up in his Dublin home in the 1930s, I know quite a lot about him -- Cromwellian settlement in Ireland, a heraldic emblem of a man in a nightcap evidently something to do with those wars, strong Limerick connnections, investment in railways, Shannon reclamation scheme (lost his money in it) and nine years membership of the first Irish Senate (unelected). etc etc

Other than Senator William's children, my father never mentioned any other Barrington connections and my grandmother and her mother left Ireland after WB's death and do not seem to have had contact with any more distant relatives. I know from WB's 1937 obituary in the Irish Times that his father was one John Barrington, a solicitor of Dublin and Limerick, and it is obvious that there are some obvious affinities with the famous Barrington family of Glenstal, living in the same city. But I have not been able to join the two families. Can anyone do so? Could there be a link with Sir Jonah Barrington, the witty writer? And what was Rosmadda, apparently their Limerick home? A search on Google Earth fails to show even a building there.

I would be very grateful for any help.
