Don,
I am descended from Isaac Barrington of Craven County NC whose daughter Mary married John Edmondson of Craven about 1735-40. Isaac Barrington lived in the Upper Broad Creek area of Craven. Mary died about 1768. They had a son, Isaac Edmondson, my ancestor, who moved to Wilkes County, Georgia, with his father. Several Barringtons moved to Georgia about the same time. The Barringtons in South Carolina from whom you seem to descend intermarried with Matthews. The Matthews and Paces moved down to SC and Georgia from the same area of NC and intermarried. I am descended from them through my mother. The Barringtons of Craven County NC appear to have come down from the Norfolk Virginia area.

You might have all this as you seem to have worked on your history for awhile.
Stephen W. Edmondson
