I have a Jane Putnam, who married Benjamin Thayer, then James C. Barrington. Jane moved to Collin County Texas with Benjamin, where he died around 1843. Jane shows up on the 1850 Census in Crawford County, Arkansas, living with James C. Barrington and her children. In a future census she shows up as a widow, still living with one of her children from her Thayer marriage, and her son James Barrington. I believe that is the 1860 or 1870 census for Crawford County.

Would love to know anything else about this James Barrington, if he is in your family of Barringtons. He was born around 1823.
