While browsing MS Cemetery books (several volumes pub. by the MS Gen. Soc.) I found in Crystal Springs Cemetery located in Copiah Co., MS a listing for Mrs. R. M. BARRINGTON (wife of A. M. BARRINGTON) born May 19, 1822-died November 8, 1896. When I went to the Copiah, MS website for their cemetery listings, I cound find no BARRINGTON in the listings for Crystal Springs Cemetery, but it may not be complete. I am guessing that this is Rosetta (LYONS) who married Ambrose Moraldi BARRINGTON 17 December, 1846 in Arkansas Co., AR. Ambrose bought land on 2 occasions (1858 and 1861) that is recorded in Helena, AR.
I find the family in 1880 Lincoln Co., MS, stating Ambrose, age 60, born TN, Father b. GA and mother born SC
Rosetta, age 56, born TN, Father born LA, Mother born NC
Mattie, age 27, school teacher
Ambrose, age 17
Edward, age 15
I'm still looking for a BARRINGTON link to John H. BARRINGTON, reported by his wife, Hulda Jane (BOUNDS), to have been born in TN ca. 1820's. I am posting this in case it may be helpful to other BARRINGTON researchers-there was also an Ambrose Moraldi BARRINGTON who died in CA ca 1940's who is most likely a descendant of the above Ambrose M. BARRINGTON. JBrown
