My father was Grant Barrington Lawrence (1915-1993) from St. Marys, OH. If I read it correctly, old papers show Richard Richards Barrington b.5/1/1797 in Wexford Co. Ireland, d. 2/10/1869 St. Marys. Richard Richards arrived in Philidelphia 1818 with a schilling and a goat and walked to Piqua, OH, later filing on 180 acres in section II St. Marys Township. He cleared a few acres, built a log cabin and married Mary Ann (Polly) Armstrong having children John, William Henry (our branch), Rebecca, Mary, Martha and son David Armstrong Barrington b 8/29/1835 St. Marys d.8/2/1911 also St. Marys. David married Susan Elizabeth (Sadie) Henning. They had son John William who it looks like was married twice: 1st, Grace Estelle Mason, 2nd, Lois Knight.
