Owen Barrington was bout about 1792 in Ireland and died 11-27-1877 in Easton PA. Owen's only known offspring was Terrence D. Barrington born 09-1823 in County Caven, Ireland. Owen and Terrence arrived in PA before the end of 1823; no mother/wife is mentioned in family history.
Terrence married twice: Catherine Huff with whom he produced Sylvester (died at age 9 yrs) Catharine Marie, lived only 3 months in 1846; and Mary Agnes (my ancestor) who married William Peter Osterstock.
Terrence's second wife was Eliza Ross; they married on 07-25-1867 and produced three children: Anne Marie, William Ross, and Margaret.
Reportedly, Terrence was twice elected to the PA State legislature and he was the first Postmaster of South Easton which was an independent borough prior to 1898.
I would appreciate any information about these people, either in Ireland or in PA. I have additional information to share.
