My grandfather had a brother named Joseph (Harm?) Hiram Barrington. His name was Marshall Matthew Barrington and was born on Jan the 2nd or 4th in 1897?, in Marshall, Texas or Blue Ridge, Texas. Their fathers name was Thomas Whitfield Barrington and they had brothers named Frank Shockly, Lee Barrington, Ben Barrington, Payton Barrington, Eddie Barrington, William (Bill?) Barrington, Willie Barrington and John Wesley Barrington. We believe that William and Willie were twins. They also had sisters named Sadie and Annie or Ida May Barrington. Their mother was a Jane Jensie Smith who was born on May 2, 1867 somewhere in Georgia. Her parents were J.W. (John Wesley?)or Bill Smith and Caroline Wooten
I don't know if this is what your looking for or if this is the same Joseph Barrington but I hope it helps you especially since the Shockly connection is there as well. Any other info that you may have I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks
