I have been trying to connect this family to John and Rosella Barrington of Sumpter Co., Ala. for some time but am not quite ready to announce victory. I do believe that this James Barrington is the same one who was given a land grant in Rutherford Co., Tenn. in 1813. Also think he is the son of Isaac Barrington of Craven County, N. C. whose grandfather Isaac came to N. C. from Norfolk Co., Virginia about 1738. This Isaac came from Bristol, England, probably via Barbados about 1666. What do you think of this? I am still trying to connect them all up and believe I am close. Joan Holt
