Wilma, I haven't concluded my research but I have a GILES W. BARRINGTON, b: 20 Oct 1855, in Minden, Claiborne Parish,
LA d: 1937 in Waco, McClennan Co, TX that married a Lela (or Jane or Lela Jane) ROACH on 30 Aug 1891 in Caddo Parish,
LA. On 6 Feb 1892 Giles W. BARRINGTON received an 80.98 acre land grant in Bossier Parish, adjoining property owned
by Lela (or Jane...) ROACH'S brother, William Madison ROACH, my gandfather.
Mona (BurntCorn@aol.com) provided me this information on GILES W. BARRINGTON's parents:
father: WASHINGTON WADE BARRINGTON, b:22 Feb 1821 in Edgefield Dist, SC d:27 Aug 1900 in Minden, Webster Par, LA
mother: Martha Ann Monzingo, b:30 Aug 1831 in Houston Co, GA d:24 Nov 1860 in Minden, Webster Parish, LA
m: 27 Dec 1849 in Claiborne Par, LA
I also have siblings of GILES if you need them. One of his brothers is believed to have married MARY E. ROACH, a
sister to Lela (or Jane) ROACH. Will be researching more this weekend to unravel this Roach connection to the
Barringtons. I am interested in knowing more about GILES WILLIS, such as cemetery location, other children he may
have had and their descendants.
