Thanks so much! I'm eager to hear what other information you have.

Based on the info. you already gave me, I've found quite a bit. I haven't been able to connect Wilhelm Barringer to Jacob Barringer though. I couldn't find anything on Helena Bender or Mary Crandall. I did see that there is a Jacob Barringer that m. Margaret Spauding in 1822 in NY at familysearch.org.

Also, I see that in the 1880 census it says that Jacob was m. to Polly b. 1836 and in the 1990 census it lists Jane Masters Barringer b. 1836 as the Head of household with Jacob's children as her own. Do you know if Jane and Polly were the same person?
