I believe your Jim (James) Barringer was the brother of my g-grandmother Susannah Missouri Barringer Ralph, 1855 to after 1910. I have not confirmed this but it appears that he was married to an Elizabeth Sloane in 1886 in New Orleans. His father was James Barringer b abt 1822 in either KY or NC, depending of the which census and died 1867 Orleans Parish. Jim's mother was Elizabeth Ross b 1834 LA d 1887 Orleans Parish, LA.
I would be interested in exchanging other info and especially interested if you have anything on Susannah Missouri Barringer. I believe she remarried after her husband Theodore Ralph passed away in 1904 in Orleans Parish, perhaps she lived in Tangiphoa or St Tammany Parishes.
