Looking for Information about Samuel Barrier born in NC, ~1811. He and his brother John settled in Missouri in 1840s by way of Kentucky. In Kentucky, Samuel married Elizabeth (maiden name unknown)in ~1830s. I have detailed and proven information of Samuel Barrier's prodigy, occupation (mechanic) for six generations, but no record of his birth or ancestors.
It is possible that his father was also named Samuel Barrier, a man age 40-50 (b. 1780-90) found in the 1830 census in Cabarrus county, NC. Our Samuel would have been 19 at that time and a male of this age wasn't listed in the census, but would probably have already left home. If you have any information, please write.
