Hello

In an attempt to end 50 yrs of misinformation, the following deed should show that Yunes (Eunice) unknown was the Mother of the Berrier/Barrier
clan of NC.

http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/nc/rowan/land/barrier1.txt

Yunes and Charles Berger/Barrier/Berrier signed a deed of sale in 1772 when they sold their home and land to Barney Michael,,a next door neighbor. This property was located just a little west of the Old Pilgrim Church. They then purchased land on Swearingen Creek.

Yunes (Eunice) apparently died sometime between 1772 and 1793 when Charles Berger/Barrier's Will was probated in Rowan Co, NC. A Johanna was named as wife in the Will.

Children of Charles and Yunes were: Rudoph b abt 1746, Elizabeth 18 Oct 1754-11 Nov 1821, Maria Barbara b abt 1756, Johan George 1759-1810.

Youngest son was NOT named John George. His name was "Johan George" and since "Johan" is similar to "Mr" in German naming patterns, his name
was simply "GEORGE". His tombstone in the Old Pilgrim Church Cem states
"Jorg Barier" 1759-1810.

Stephanie
