Leonard Hege of Rowan Co, NC. Charles Barrier's father was Rudolph Barrier and mother Anna Catharina Helmstetler Barrier (See Will- usgenweb Rowan Co, NC-
click on "Archives" - "Caty Barker") Anna Catherina "Caty" died 1814. All of her children had predeceased her except her son Charles in Tn. Charles & family said to remove to Lincoln Tn abt 1812.
Charles Barrier's grandfather was also named Charles b c1725 d 1789 (tradition) and grandmother was Johanna. Charles Will was actually probated 1793 and can also be found on the usgenwebsite Rowan Co in "Archives". The senior Charles can be found on the first record for Rowan Co which would be the 1759 tax roll and he received a land grant in 1761.
