Hey folks! Wow, I think I've been linked to every possible Barrier theory. Let me set the record straight. I did some research in France along with a Barrier cousin from Geneva, Switzerland. The only inclusion that I feel uncomfortable with is the German record from Wurtemberg. I used it without checking the source. Last summer I made a trip to Germany, but could not find the German birth records. However, that does not mean the record foes not exist. I just did not find it. Secondly, my name has been attached to the Bible record from California. I have never seen the original Bible record. Someone sent it to me and I passed it on to others. Although, I cannot prove the connection until I find confirmation of the German record, I still lean toward the family being French, but moving to Germany for several generations before coming to America.
