Stephanie, No, actually I'm from Abraham Barrier's daughter Catherine Barrier Massey (1763-1845). The name Abraham came down a few generations in my family: To Catherine's son Abraham E. Massey, and to that Abraham's grandson William Abraham Boles. Although I'm interested in Martin Barrier as a several-great-uncle, my major interest is in determining whether Abraham Barrier was ever in Alabama. It looks like the 1830 Census of Jackson co may be the place to start. I couldn't find him in an index, but indexes are often incomplete. Perhaps a line-by-line search would yield something.
