My name is Ellis Knight Barrier, and John Barrier was my gg-grandfather. Mike Barrier was his father.

Thomas Jefferson Barrier was my Grandfather, Jewel, Herbert, Paulene, Tommie, Virginia and Lillian were my father's siblings. Tommie Sealock is the only one living. You listed Will Barrier. That was Tom Barrier's brother. Algommie and Malcomb Barrier, I do not know how they are related to me. Other brothers and sisters that I knew in East Texas were Walter, Mike, Maud, Miss Julia, Lee, Will and Tom. There were more. Some are buried in the Old Barrier Cemetery.

The Barriers settled in Titus County, but that part is now Morris County and the county seat is in Dangerfield. They settled near Concord Baptist Church. The old Barrier Cemetary is about 1 mile east. My parents, Morris & Arden Barrier and my gg=grandmother, Nancy Witt Barrier are buried at Concord. Others are buried at Omaha.

Nancy Hayes Barrier would have been some of Nancy Witt's folks. Nancy Witt's mother was Elizabeth Hayes and she was a first cousin to President Rutherford B. Hayes. If you can send me a mailing address, I can send some maps of the area in East Texas that our family settled in.

How are you related to us? I am interested in hearing from you
