Hello Judy
It has been a while since we last coresponded. Hope you and your family are doing well.
I have continued to work on the Tree but only within the last 100 years or so. Just been filling in as many blanks as I can
of the decendents of Thomas Barrett. I have been going through all of the Kingsport Times Obituaries and trying to find conections to other kin, cousins.
Up to 6,300 desendents for Thomas Barrett. Still a lot of blanks to be filled.
I have also collected a lot of info on numerous Barretts I cant connect to our line. They have to be from another related line.
I was wondering if you know of someone that has been working on desendetns of any of the other lines of Barretts from the Hawkins Co, area? Namely Miles, Ward, John, George ..and others.
I have noticed in your corresponding with others that you have really done a lot of work trying to find positive connections to all the Barretts there in the late 1700s.
Very hard work trying to connect the dots, isnt it? Not a whole lot I can do from over here in Japan. I would love to go back and work on the Tree for whole a year.
I would love to go around and collect everyones stories. No time or money here and its hard to get people to trust you over the phone or by email. Face to face is the best way.
Would a DNA test from me or my father help in any way? We are from the Thomas Barrett (1776) line.
I was thinking you and your brother should write a book like Ron Pyron did. Havent heard from him in a long while too.
I am serious. You certainly have knowledge and drive. Its hard for me to catch everything you guys have been saying about the Barretts in the late 1700s without a
kind of step by step or a better year by year guide to kind of follow. What do you think?
