HI. I am looking for family information and hope it is related.
I am looking for the parents of a Lucinda Barrett (b. 11-18-1848?;d. 9-7-1902) She was married to Matthew Makin (b. 5-25-1834; d. 3-17-1905)
I found record of them online marrying in Marshall County, Indiana in 1870, which matches the date of 12-26-1867 from my grandma's bible notes.
My grandma's notes have them as having 9 children: Orestes, Benjamin, Mary, Martha, Maggie, Hattie, Clara, Georgia, and Freddie.
I found records online ( http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GSfn=&GSmn=&GSln=Makin&GSby=&GSbyrel=in&GSdy=&GSdyrel=in&GScntry=4&GSst=18&GScnty=0&GSob=nhttp://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GSfn=&GSmn=&GSln=Makin&GSby=&GSbyrel=in&GSdy=&GSdyrel=in&GScntry=4&GSst=18&GScnty=0&GSob=n )
showing Lucinda and two sons (?) buried at Bazaar Cemetery in Chase County Kansas. I'm guessing about one son, Charlie Makin ( died March 20, 1897). The notes say "son of B. and Lucinda Makin, 2 mo 16 days." My family notes do not mention any Charlie.
The other, Freddie Makin (b. Oct 9, 1889; d. Jul 26, 1890) matches the birth and death dates from my family records.
If any of these names ring a bell, let me know. I know nothing about Lucinda or Matthew's parents or where they came from.
I am descended from their daughter Hattie. Hattie, her husband and her daughter (my grandma) in Lyon County Kansas.
I would love to find more ancestor information too!
