I see a John Barret with son John Jr. on the 1768 tax list of Loudoun County; for a district that would seem to cover the northwestern part of the county. However, on the Hamilton list there's also a John Barrett who shows up as a tithable in the household of Nathan Spencer (my 4th great grandfather).Any ideas who he might be?As of 1768 Nathan and his wife Hannah (Loughborough) Spencer had a start on their large family, but the oldest child would have been only about 11 years old. Thus, Barrett could not be a son in law.I'm wondering whether he might somehow be related to Hannah's family (from southeastern Montgomery County, Pa.)
