Re: Noah Barrentine -m. 1877-Randolph Co.GA
My wife's great-grandmother, Mary/Mollie
Barrentine (1858-1931) (m. J. Morris Geeslin)
had a brother Noah R. Barrentine (b. 1856).
Mollie's parents were Peter Barrentine (c1826-after 1896) and Jemima Turner (b. c1830). They were married in Randolph Co., GA
6 Dec. 1846.
Jemima was d/o Silas Turner (b. c1810 SC; d.
pre-1870 Randolph Co., GA) and Elizabeth
Barrentine (b. c1810 SC, d. after 1880 Ran-
dolph Co.,GA. They were married in Fayette
Co. GA 11 May 1828.
The above was my father-in-law's line, but my
mother=in-law also had a Barrentine line in
Fayette Co. She descended from Jesse Barren-
tine Sr. (b. c1775 SC/Marlboro Co.?; d. after
1860 Fayette Co., GA.) His wife was Elizabeth
(Simpson?)
I haven't determined how all these Barrentines were related but I'm sure they
were.
