I couldn't find you under the Keefer listings, and this is the newest posting I could find. I am researching one bit of information that I've had for some time. My ancestor Sybilla Hering/Herring (dau of Daniel Haring & Elizabeth Catherine Greim)had a daughter out of wedlock by Joseph Kiefer. Here is the entry:
KIEFER, Elisabeth, d/Joseph KIEFER & Sybilla HERING, b. 17 May 1827, bp. 1 Jul 1827, sp. David ZERBE & wf. Elisabeth
I believe this is the same Joseph who was married to Sarah/Salome Nagle. Sybilla later married Benjamin Batdorf/Batdorff in 1829. She filed for divorce in 1839 - not granted. Benjamin filed for divorce in 1840 and that was granted. Sybilla later married (not proven yet) Samuel Richards/Reichert who was mentioned in Benjamin's divorce papers. They had three children in Pennsylvania and later moved to Iowa.
I would like to know if you have any more information on this Elizabeth Keifer.
