Hello,
John Baran (Baron) was married to (Mary) Anna Jaskier after he came to the US. According to his son the name Baran was the one that John came with to the US and later was changed by his son Walter due to the mocking he received by the Polish nuns at school--the would say Da Goopy Baran (the crazy male goat)--when Walter was old enough he changed the name to Baron so that it sounded more regal.

When John Baran came to the US, there was a war going on in the country that he was living in (my uncle Walter (John Baran/Baron's son said that that they were from either Poland or Austria, but that he wasn't sure--I think it's because the border kept on changing due to all of the wars)---he was a young man. His father told him to leave to the US. He did as his father told him. When he got to the US he started to work on the railroad. He met a another young man named John Jaskier, Jasier said "You meet my sister, if you like her marry her."

They were married possibly in 1896 and had 9 children.
