Katarzyna (Catherine) Baran, b. 31 July 1885 in Lwowek, Dobromil, Poland. dau. ofJosephus and Thecia Baran. She sailed from Bremen, Germany on May 30, 1907 on the 'Koln' and arrived in Baltimore sometime in June. Since Poland was part of the Austrian Empire at that time she was listed as coming from Galicia, Austria. Her destination was listed as Allegheny, PA and her sponsor was Tedrzej Baran (relationship unknown). Her age was listed as 20, however from her birth certificate, her age was 22.
On Nov. 25, 1907, she married Ladislaus Lysikowski (name later changed to Lasky) in Youngstown, OH. After her first husband's death, she married Antoni Gromada on Nov. 22, 1910.
I'm posting this for my sister-in-law. She would love to get in touch with other descendents of Catherine. Any further information on this family will be appreciated.
