Unfortunately, at this point I don't know much about Abe Baron other than what I already posted. I first found him on the passenger lists at the Ellis Island site as the person with whom my grandfather Morris Schoenfeld and my aunt Meike Ackerman stayed with when they arrived in the U.S. (Morris came in July, 1912 and Meike arrived in September, 1913). Since Morris was from Hotin, Ukraine and Meike was presumably from the same area, my presumption -- which may well be wrong -- is that Abe was from that area also. At present I don't know the names of anyone else in Abe's family.
If I had to hazard a guess as to when Abe was born it would be probably in the year 1880 +/- 5 years, although that too is by no means certain.
I realize that that's not much to go on, but if your family tree's roots extend that far south any further input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for the reply.
