Dear Nancy,
I have just found your message about Barons in Gt Harwood on the Baron Family Genealogy Forum, from Jan 2003:
"Researching the Baron family of Great Harwood and Ashton-under-Lyne. I have extensive census extractions from both places. My immediate line, Joseph Baron and Martha Lawton, emigrated to Massachusetts around 1891. Lots more info if this looks interesting."

I have three Baron ggrandparents in Gt H, and have done a lot of research on them. I have a website at Tribal Pages:
http://www.tribalpages.com/tribes/gthbarons
if you want to check it out, the password is "baron".

Which Joseph Baron is yours, I don't think I know of him.
best
Flo
